Khenpo Jigme Phuntsok (1933 – 2004) was one of the greatest Tertons (terma treasure revealers) of the 20th Century. He is seen here wearing a Garuda or Khyung thokcha. The large cylindrical metal object worn at his waist most likely holds a Phurba.
